Job Description

As a restaurant dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the prompt and efficient cleaning of dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, allowing the kitchen staff to focus on food preparation and service. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the smooth operation of the restaurant and uphold its cleanliness standards.
 

Responsibilities

- Operate the dishwasher and other cleaning equipment to wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, glassware, and utensils.
- Sort and organize dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils for efficient cleaning and storage.
- Inspect dishes and other items for cleanliness and remove any food residue or debris before placing them in the dishwasher.
- Hand-wash delicate or specialty items that are not dishwasher-safe.
- Assist with the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down countertops, and disposing of trash.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, such as pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
- Support the kitchen staff by delivering clean and organized equipment and utensils as needed.
- Cooperate with coworkers and communicate effectively to ensure a smooth workflow and a clean and sanitary working environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and adherence to proper handwashing techniques.
- Assist with other kitchen tasks as assigned by the management team.
