Job Description
As a restaurant host/hostess, your primary responsibility is to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests as they arrive at the restaurant. You will be the first point of contact for customers and will play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression. Your friendly but yet professional demeanor will ensure that guests feel valued and comfortable throughout their dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Manage reservations, accurately recording and organizing guest information.
- Maintain a well-organized and clean reception area, ensuring a visually appealing environment.
- Uphold knowledge of the restaurant layout, seating capacity, and table availability.
- Efficiently and effectively communicate with the waitstaff to coordinate seating and wait times.
- Respond to guest inquiries, providing accurate information about menus, special events, and promotions.
- Assist in managing wait lists and handle reservations during peak business hours.
- Collaborate with the management team to resolve any guest concerns or issues promptly.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining composure.
- Capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
- Previous restaurant hosting experience required.
